Two free tips on losing weight that are extremely valuable when it comes to weight loss.
The most important tips you will ever get when it comes to the battle of the bulge. If you listen to and apply what I have to say I guarantee you will lose some weight.

Two great weight loss ideas
The two tips are related to how much you eat and how you think about what you eat.
The first one is to count your calories and eat fewer calories than your body requires you to take in to maintain your current body weight.
The second is all about how you think about what you are doing when you eat.
Eat to fuel not to fill. If you have read any of my other articles you have heard me say this before and the reason for that is that it works.
Your mind is a very powerful weapon or tool in giving you success in losing weight or doing anything you set your mind to. That is the two things you need to do to lose weight.
You can lose weight just by doing these two things even without exercising although if you exercise it will speed up the whole process but we do not want to focus on any exercises for this article.
1ST Tip - Eating fewer calories than your body requires
As simple as it sounds most people that try to lose weight for some reason skip doing this even though they have heard somewhere that putting this practice into motion will give them success.
Could it be because counting calories is hard work at first? Yes that is probably it. The thing about counting calories though is that once you know how many calories are in certain foods it never changes so after a while it gets very easy to count calories just in your head and not having to look at a book or a website for help.

Now if you need help figuring out how many calories you should be consuming in a day you can also find many of those sites online also.
I have done some homework for you though and found a site called Ahealthyme.com which has a great converter and gives some great information on how many calories you need to lose maintain or even gain.

I recommend cutting back 500 calories a day from what you need in calories to maintain your bodyweight. So if you happen to need 3000 to maintain then consuming 2500 a day should cause you to lose a pound a week of body fat.
My 2nd tip for losing weight
This tip is all about how you think about what you are eating. It is quite simple actually.
Eat to fuel not to fill which means eat enough food to fuel yourself to last you till your next meal, not stuff your face so you are to full and have extra calories that will end up being stored as fat.
From now on when you start eating a meal or even preparing it say to yourself (in your head) that you are only going to eat to fuel your body not to fill it. If you eat meals and snacks every three hours throughout the day you should find this very easy to do.
Two good things about eating to fuel are that when you only eat to fuel you are probably eating fewer calories than you need which is a good thing when trying to lose weight.
The 2nd thing is that your body will get used to feeding every three hours and will start to release your fat stores a lot easier versus if you were just eating a few meals a day at sporadic times.
The human body is an incredible machine. Your body will get used to eating less every three hours or so and you will feel the effects in just a few days.

People focus too much on trying to cut things out like carbs or fat, when it's overall calories you need to pay attention to.
You need to pick great natural, whole food choices so that you can eat a certain amount of calories and still feel full for a while...
It takes a while for your stomach to tell your brain that you're full so eating slower will definitely help you there.
One tip I always tell people is to never go back for seconds... put a balanced meal on your plate and that is all you're going to eat. Enjoy it!

fitness fitness thanks for commenting. yes exercise and an active lifestyle are definitely important.
But! If you consume 10,000 calories a day chances are you are going to be gaining weight. so keeping the calories you consume in check is extremely important.
